Healthy Food Policy

At Pranav International Public School, we strongly believe that healthy eating habits are the foundation of a child’s physical well-being, mental alertness, and emotional stability. To support this, we have implemented a structured Healthy Food Policy that encourages nutritious and balanced meals.

Guidelines for Parents

  • Strictly avoid sending junk food items such as chips, fried snacks, chocolates, candies, bakery items, aerated drinks, or packaged foods in your child’s snack or lunch box.
  • Incorporate vegetables into your child's lunch every day to support their growth and immunity.
  • We request all parents to follow the school’s recommended snack and lunch menu to ensure consistency and nutritional value.

Suggested Weekly Menu

Snacks Options

  • Fresh Fruits or Freshly prepared Fruit Juice
  • Wheat or Ragi Porridge (Kool)
  • Boiled Pulses (Green gram, Horse gram, Cow peas)
  • Sweet Potatoes or Tapioca (steamed/boiled)
  • Nuts and Dry Fruits (age-appropriate quantities)

Lunch Options

  • Veg Stuffed Chapati / Veg Biryani / Veg Pulav
  • Rasam Rice with Spinach or other Green Leafy Vegetables
  • Dhal Rice with a Vegetable / Spinach
  • Variety Rice (Lemon, Tomato, Curd, etc.) with a Vegetable / Spinach
  • Sambar Rice / Curd Rice with Vegetables

Note: Parents may choose one item from each category per day, ensuring variety throughout the week.

Important Instructions

  • All food containers must be properly closed and leak-proof.
  • For Kindergarten children, water bottles must be of the sipper type to avoid spillage.
  • A clean towel, spoon, and fork must be included in the snack/lunch bag.
  • All items, including containers and accessories, must be clearly labeled with the student’s name and grade.
